About me

I’m Indre Jann, an artist originally from Kaunas, Lithuania, now living and creating in Bergen, Norway. My artistic journey began at Kaunas Antanas Martinaitis Art School, where I studied from 1997 to 2004. Following this foundation, I refined my skills through private tutoring under Gintaras Zubrys, a renowned artist in Kaunas, until 2008.

After high school, I pursued my passion for art at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, Kaunas Faculty, specializing in Applied Graphics. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2012. The following year, I moved to Bergen, where I’ve been painting, selling my work, accepting commissions, and working as a visual merchandiser in the fashion industry, combining creativity with design in dynamic displays.

My art is deeply inspired by emotion and the spontaneity of the moment. I thrive on the freedom of unplanned creation, letting dynamic, uneven lines and raw, expressive energy shape my work. Details and graphic elements play a significant role in my process, blending structure with the chaos of inspiration. Artists like René Almanza resonate with me, influencing my approach to expressive, unrestricted creativity.

Beyond my art, I find joy in exploring Norwegian nature, capturing moments through photography, and expressing myself through writing. These hobbies allow me to recharge and find new perspectives, enriching my life and fueling my creative spirit.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about my journey. I invite you to explore my portfolio and join me in celebrating the beauty of unfiltered emotion and the power of art.
